We recently learned how to write a polished paragraph. We know there are three key points:
Think of it like a big mac
you've got...
the sesame seed bun and the...
two all beef patties
special sauce
lettuce
cheese
pickles
onions
all held together by the second half of the sesame seed bun...
1. A great topic sentence that grabs the readers attention. It introduces an interesting topic and adds some sort of feeling or emotion. Think of the attention grabber as the sesame seeds. This kind of bun is much more enticing than a plain, flat boring bun!
2. The body of the paragraph supports the topic with vivid verbs and colorful adjectives. I wonder what is in that special sauce!?
3. A closing sentence brings your paragraph to a natural ending. What would a big mac be with out the bottom bun? Messy.
By the way...
Q: How does Ronald McDonald introduce his wife?
A: Meet Patty

the big mac paragraph was a pretty cool idea. It made me realize how lame my paragraphs were.
Once upon a time.......CHUCK NORIS slaped a big mac and turned into a regular cheese burger.
CHUCK NORIS sleeps with a nightlight not because he is afraid of the dark, but because the dark is afraid of CHUCK NORIS.
CHUCK NORIS grinds coffee with his teeth and boils is with his rage.
CHUCK NORIS was the fourth "wise man", and he gave Jesus the gift of beard.
